Fast Leveling in Legion

It’s been a little over a week since Legion went live. Fragnance needed just over five hours to reach 110, and good for him. Others took a bit longer but many have already dinged 110, including myself.
One down, twenty more to go!
To quote the great Will Smith, “Aw Hell Naw.”
Before I go any further, I’ll just say this about Legion. I really like the storyline, and in-game storytelling is usually not what I’m about. I’m not a lore guy, and I only read maybe 20% of the quest text that I’m given. But there have been times during my Legion questing experience when I actually stopped and thought to myself that it’s a good thing I’ve got an alt coming through this content because I might want to read some of this the next go round.
That being said, sometimes you just wanna get to the end. The game starts at endgame for many, and they don’t care how they get there. They just want to get there, like, yesterday.
So how does one get to 110, like, yesterday?
Brace yourself, jabroni. I have some good news and some bad news.
First, the bad news. There’s no subtle mechanic to game that’ll get you to max level. No “Bonus Objectives” or XP potions like there was in WoD. Fragnance did it through optimized questing and select dungeon running. That’s pretty much how you’ll do it too.
Now for some good news – I have not one, not two, but THREE methods for getting to 110 as fast as possible.
Method One – Bellular put together a video that outlines a good, strategic route for MAX GAINZ!
Method Two – Umren has some powerful tips for getting through the content in the most efficient way possible. Efficient = fast, and fast = good AM I RITE!
Umren mentions the Emerald Wind toy, which I did not know about but will be dropping everything and getting this POST-HASTE! Oldbess goes into a little more detail about this toy, and mentions another one that will get you Flying in Legion before they release flying in Legion. Look, just watch the video.
Method Three – You might notice that there isn’t a video here. Technically you are correct. What there is, though, is a link to a website. Don’t panic, there’s nothing shady about this site. What it does, is provide you with a detailed walkthrough on 100-110. It tells you what quests to do, when to do them, and provides videos to clarify certain aspects of some of the quests. I actually used this, and I found some of the explanations very helpful.
The website is Guide me Senpai, and you can check it out by clicking HERE!
So there you are. Leveling tips. Now get in the ring of grind, and get it done.
Sixteen Garrison Followers

… And Rokkspawn makes my 20th character at Level 100. What the Hell is wrong with me!
I can’t explain why I needed to level another character to 100. Faulty wiring in my head, OCD issues, I have no idea. I’d tried using the Legion Invasions to level a Pandaren Warrior, but after taking him from 61 to 78 I just couldn’t do it anymore. I didn’t have a Demon Hunter on this particular server, so I thought I’d give it a try.
In two hours, I’d leveled him from 98-100, got him a few pieces of Invasion gear, got a Level 2 garrison, and started some buildings. Not sure I’m going to need to get the garrison to Level 3. But I did start the ball rolling.
Now I’m not very focused on going far with my garrison since Legion drops in just under two weeks. I wouldn’t mind getting some use out of my follower missions. The best way to do that is by getting a bunch of followers. But how does one go about doing something like that? Once again, MadSeason comes up big with a video outlining an easy way to pick up 16 garrison followers in about two hours.
Check it out, and consider yourself educated. Now go start that garrison that you’re probably going to abandon in a couple of weeks!
How To Play Any Class
… well, almost.
With the coming of a new expansion, Blizzard decided (as they like to do) that they were going to tweak a few classes. Only in this case, “a few” meant “all”, and “tweak” meant “turning several of them inside out”. In a couple of cases (Survival Hunter and Outlaw Rogue), they changed them to the point that they were unrecognizable from the original class. Talents in general got reworked, major glyphs were wiped from existence, and players were sent back to the drawing board, scratching their heads.
It’s a situation that can be intimidating for casual players. They want to start playing their class again, but more importantly they just don’t want to suck. Be it a LFR raid or running in a dungeon group, no one likes being that one player on Recount who, given the numbers they’re putting up, is clearly playing the game using their feet.
Ask one of these people who seem to be using their in-game abilities by shouting at their keyboard what the problem is. If you get any response at all, you’ll probably hear “I don’t take it too seriously. I just play for fun.” What this means is that they don’t want to look up optimal rotations, or any rotation for that matter. They won’t look at Icy Veins or Wowhead or Ask Mr Robot, or any website at all that might come off as intimidating to them.
This solution may seem too complicated for the uber casual, but I assure you that it isn’t. This is one of those cases where the reward far exceeds the effort. What the Hell am I talking about? I’m referring, of course, to the enhanced version of Gnome Sequencer.
What this addon does is runs through a rotational macro for a certain class. It might not get you to top the charts, but at the very least it’ll keep you functional. I used the old version of Gnome Sequencer when I leveled my Mage from 1 to 100 and ran him through LFR. I’d never played a Mage before, but I found myself doing just fine on the charts despite not being able to name even three of my abilities.
Some people may call this “cheating”. Far from it. I would rather have someone who didn’t have a hot clue what they were doing using this addon, than having them fumble through the “right” way like a chimp manhandling a brand new rock.
Kephas does a great job explaining the addon, from installation to application. Check it out, download it HERE and hopefully you find yourself a productive member of your LFR.
WoW Rare Garrison Mission Guide

This image has nothing to do with the post. I just felt like posting it.
Hey Rokk, why won’t my garrison give me any of those rare missions? You know, the good ones that give me Elixirs of the Rapid Mind or that cool looking mount that looks like someone shaved down King Kong?
Great question Billy!
But my name’s not –
IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT YOUR NAME IS!
… my mom likes my name.
Back to your question. It’s like this – garrison missions aren’t just about your followers. They’re about you too. I know that seems pretty out there, since follower missions are usually about kitting up your followers and sending them on their way. Well if you’re wondering why your alts never seem to unlock those sweet, sweet rare missions then wonder no longer! MadSeasonShow created this video awhile ago, and I’ve been meaning to show it some love for months. So check it out and discover the Secret to Unlocking WoW Rare Garrison Missions!
Farming Honor in Patch 6.2.4
With Legion maybe kinda just around the corner, people are starting to look ahead to a PVP life where Honor no longer exists. But I plan on using honor now, and I’m using it to beef up my garrison.
That’s right, my garrison.
Okay, improving the garrison is actually a side effect. What it actually relates to is getting a character to an iLevel of 675. How does that affect your garrison? That’s a future post, but it involves gold. Because of course it does. I don’t work my garrison for funsies, after all.
Honor is a great way of gearing up your character, especially this way. I’m sure I’ve posted this in the past, but SirPwnKnight recently made a video discussing this technique so I thought I’d give it a try. I had a warrior that I wanted to bump up the iLevel on, and I thought it’d be easiest to do it with some PVP gear.
Anyway, here’s the video. Check it out, and I’ll give you my feedback on it.
I went to Ashran to give this a go. Despite a gank or two, I found the farming to be easy enough and the conversion of artifacts to honor was pretty sweet. It worked out to about 100 artifacts = 300+ honor, and it took me less than ten minutes to get those artifacts. Getting decked out in short order, assuming you’re not getting your throat cut while doing so, definitely wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility.
So give this a try and let me know how it worked out for you!
