Cataclysm Pre-Raid Gear For DPS Plate
This isn’t exactly a recent list. In fact, this is information I found in an article written back in December of ’10 by Daniel Whitcomb over at WoW Insider. Back then, his article was strictly Death Knight DPS gear. However, once you take a look at it, it’s also applicable to Fury Warriors and Arms Warriors as well. It probably helps Paladins, but screw those guys. If you want more explanation on the reasoning behind some of these items, check out Daniel’s column. I just stripped it down to the raw data because, let’s face it, I’m probably the only one reading this anyway. However, if you are not me and somehow stumbled across this list then
a) Welcome, and
b) ‘Sup.
Are there items that could be added to this list? Probably. For someone who made it through regular instances and wants to get their feet wet in raiding, or just looking for a starting point once they hit Heroics, you could do worse than this list.
So read it. Unless you’re a Paladin, in which case, pound sand.

Cataclysm Dungeon Gear For Plate DPS
Can you imagine what the Heroic stuff looks like?
Heroics are hard. We all know this. Well, I shouldn’t say all because there’s some folks… like me… who haven’t gotten into Heroics yet. In fact, I probably won’t even start Heroics until I’ve done every Regular dungeon a few times, just to get the hang of things. Unlike the mewing kittens who need their milk, and stuff their bags with gear they can’t use just to sneak into Heroics through the back door. Actually, those are probably the people who are getting buggered hard by Heroics – the ones that don’t have the right gear to heal, DPS, or stay alive in general.
Let’s fix that, shall we?
Once again, Matthew Rossi wrote a great article at WoW Insider regarding dungeon gear for Warriors. Since this is a blog for folks who kill, not save or protect, I cleaned up the list and left only the juicy stuff (DPS, baby!) Since many of the stats apply to Death Knights as well, everybody wins!
Well, everybody who wears plate and kills with extreme prejudice. Let’s get to that list, shall we?

There it is, plate-wearing murderers and mavens of mayhem. Grind those dungeons and don’t be in such a damn hurry to get into Heroics. You don’t want to be one of those Scrubs who cheat to get in, suck because they have inadequate gear, only to get gear they really don’t deserve because they really do suck that badly, do you?
